China-Based Automaker Selects Arbe Radar for Level 4 Autonomous Vehicle Program

A China-based state-owned automaker has selected the ultra-high-definition radar technology of Arbe Robotics, integrated into the system of Hirain Technologies, for its Level 4 autonomous vehicle program. Start of production is scheduled for December 2026, with thousands of vehicles expected to reach the market during 2027.

The selected solution is based on Hirain’s LRR610 radar, powered by Arbe’s proprietary chipset, and will be deployed as the front-facing radar in the vehicle. The technology enables high-resolution perception for both urban and highway environments, supporting safe and reliable autonomous driving in complex traffic scenarios, including dense urban settings, vulnerable road users, and challenging edge cases.

Arbe’s chipset features the industry’s largest channel array, with 48 receiving and 48 transmitting RF channels, alongside a dedicated processor that delivers dense data for AI-based post-processing. This architecture allows for precise detection, accurate object classification, and real-time decision-making, all critical requirements for Level 4 autonomy.

Arbe is expected to showcase a live demonstration of its automotive-grade radar technology at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
