As maritime threats evolve to include drones, cruise missiles, and coordinated attacks on offshore infrastructure, Israel is advancing a new generation of naval defense technologies designed for complex, real-time scenarios.

At the core of this capability is a layered maritime defense architecture combining interception, detection, and command-and-control systems. One of the most prominent examples is C-Dome, the naval version of the Iron Dome developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, providing close-range protection against rockets, UAVs, and aerial threats in maritime environments.

Complementing interception capabilities are advanced radar and sensing systems developed by Israel Aerospace Industries, including naval radar platforms capable of detecting low-signature threats across wide maritime zones. These systems are designed to operate in challenging sea conditions, enabling early warning and accurate threat classification.

In parallel, Elbit Systems is contributing integrated naval combat management systems, combining sensor fusion, AI-based analytics, and real-time decision support. These platforms allow naval operators to process large volumes of data and respond rapidly to multi-vector threats.

Cybersecurity is also becoming a critical layer in maritime protection. Companies such as Cydome are addressing vulnerabilities in vessel systems and port infrastructure, providing AI-driven anomaly detection and protection against cyberattacks targeting navigation and operational technologies.

These technologies are deployed on advanced platforms such as Sa’ar 6-class corvettes, forming a comprehensive protection envelope for offshore gas installations, shipping lanes, and strategic maritime zones.

With increasing demand for resilient maritime infrastructure worldwide, Israel’s integrated approach, combining kinetic defense, sensing, AI, and cyber capabilities, is positioning its defense ecosystem as a leading provider of next-generation maritime security solutions.
