U.S.-based defense technology company Ondas Holdings has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Aran Defense, the defense division of Israeli publicly traded company Aran Research and Development, for approximately $33 million.

Aran Defense provides engineering, manufacturing and product development services for the Israeli government and leading international defense companies. The business operates engineering and production facilities in Israel and specializes in transforming technological concepts into systems that can be manufactured and deployed at scale.

The division generated approximately $17 million in revenue in 2025 and is expected to reach about $26 million in 2026. Following completion of the acquisition, Ondas plans to use its international footprint and relationships with defense customers to expand Aran Defense’s capabilities into additional allied markets.

“Aran Defense brings exceptional engineering and manufacturing capabilities that are critical to strengthening Israel’s sovereign defense industrial base”, said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas Holdings. The company expects the acquisition to support both its operations in Israel and its wider international growth strategy.

For Aran, the transaction offers access to a broader global platform at a time when demand for advanced defense technologies and increased production capacity is growing in Israel and abroad.

Ondas has been expanding its presence in the Israeli defense technology sector through a series of acquisitions and investments. Its portfolio includes autonomous drone systems, counter-UAS technologies and advanced defense manufacturing capabilities. The acquisition of Aran Defense will add an established Israeli engineering and production operation to the group.

The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The deal reflects the continued international interest in Israeli defense technology, not only in individual products and intellectual property, but also in the engineering and manufacturing infrastructure required to bring new systems into operational use.
